Marinduque Airport Reviews (1)
Marinduque Province is where my parents hail from. The airport in the town of Gasan is the only existing airport in the province. Its runway is only half made. There’s still some 25% to 30% of the runway, including the apron, that’s not yet cemented. This a concern for other airlines wishing to fly to the province since the asphalt runway is full of dirt of small rocks. The airport is itself in the middle of a rice field. Negotiations have been on going regarding relocation of the rice fields and the resettlement of the farmers. As of this writing, only Zest Air flies to Marinduque on Mondays, Wednesdays, Fridays, and Sundays. It’s serviced by their Xian Modern Ark 60 airplane, which has a capacity of 56 passengers. Cebu Pacific Air has expressed its intentions to fly to the province in the next 2 years. Airphil Express is also considering flying to Marinduque.
