I was utterly disappointed to see the facilities at this airport, more particularly pertaining to women passengers. Being the biggest tourist spot of Rajasthan, it should have class one facilities if not world class. Besides CCD there is no option for food. Only two lavatories for gents and females, which is very limited compared to the passengers’ needs.
Jaipur Airport
Sanganer Airport or Jaipur Airport is situated in Sanganer, a town which is about 13-14 Kms. (7-8 miles) approx from Jaipur City. This is the only International Airport in Rajasthan State of India. Jaipur is well connected to Delhi , Mumbai, Hyderabad, Kolkatta, Udaipur, Ahmedabad, and Banglore. Different Airlines : Indian Airlines, Air Deccan, Jet Airways, Air Sahara, GoAir , Kingfisher Airlines and Alliance Air .
Not a good airport in terms of service , satisfaction and infrastructure. Smelly and congested airport, need to improve it to high grade as it is the only nearest international airport to IGI Airport, New Delhi. Two more terminal buildings must be constructed to accomadete peak months crowd. Runway length should be extended to atleast 14000 feet from 11500feet. More international destinations open up to travellers.
